Have you been diagnosed with prediabetes?
A diagnosis of Prediabetes can be confusing and frustrating. You are unlikely to feel unwell, and, in fact, you do not have a medical condition. Prediabetes is a warning sign that you have a high risk of going on to develop Type 2 diabetes, and around 5-10% of people with a diagnosis of Prediabetes go on to develop Type 2 diabetes every year.
But the good news is that it is possible to greatly reduce the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes with diet and lifestyle changes.
For an initial session we will discuss what Type 2 diabetes is, what care you should expect, and how to make changes to your diet and lifestyle, that fit around your life and the things you enjoy, that will really make a difference to your health.
Further sessions might include learning more about carbohydrate foods where we discuss what they are and how they affect your blood glucose, and more detail session about what dietary approaches have evidence for improving health and reducing the chances of developing Type 2 Diabetes.
