Personalised Healthy Lifestyle

Would you like to find out about how to make changes to your diet and lifestyle that work for you?

Has trying to make healthy changes to your diet and lifestyle  left you feeling frustrated, confused about what changes you should make and guilty for wanting to do the things you enjoy?

There are many people out there that will happily tell you exactly what to eat and what exercise to do, and many of these approaches do work very well if you stick to them. But if they don't fit in with the people around you and the things that you enjoy, then life can get in the way leaving you feeling demoralised and demotivated.

I'm not the right dietitian if you want someone to just provide a meal plan and tell you what you can and can't eat. But if you would like to try a more practical approach, I can help you look into your lifestyle and develop the skills to work out what works for you.

If you have got to the point where you are tired of watching the scales and want to take a body positive approach to improving your health, I can support you with an approach based on intuitive eating and health at every size.

Book a one hour or 90 minute initial consultation with Paula, or if you would like a more intensive approach to changing your relationship with food I offer a 6 week one-to-one understanding eating course.

More about my approach.

Here you can find post about different subjects including why someone just telling you what to eat might not work. This blog post talks about Type 2 diabetes, but applies to anyone trying the make healthy changes.

I have also written a number of posts about the reasons why we eat including the effect of our emotions and environmt. I have also written about what to do when things go wrong and how you can eat to feel more full.

Finally here is my blog about why there is a better way than asking the dietitian to create the perfect meal plan for you.

Note on Video Consultations:

Some people feel concerned about video consultations as a means of communication, but it has a number of advantages. It is completely Covid safe and allows you to speak to an experienced dietitian from the comfort of your own home, without travel, at a time to suit you. If you have not used this method before I can allow a little extra time for the first consultation to talk you through the process, and I have found that anyone with access to a computer or tablet quickly gets the hang of it. Download a quick guide to video consultations here or feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
