If you have recently lost weight or have difficulty maintaining your weight then advice from a dietitian will help you to find ways to make changes to your diet to help with this.


This can be particularly helpful when you have been advised to make changes to your diet for a medical condition such as diabetes or cardiovascular disease resulting in weight loss.

Weight loss is not a normal part of ageing and can result in loss of muscle, which can affect you ability to get around and do the things you love. Advice from a dietitian, perhaps combined with support from a physiotherapist specialising in healthy ageing, can help you to be more independent.
